Day 30 – In the city

Today was not an eventful day.

Weather.com predicted rain for the day so we did not get the car. But even though it was overcast all day it did not rain. Hopefully it will hold for the next 9 days the rain was scheduled to continue :).

The plan was to go to Vingis park. We got as far as the Parliament with some stops on the way. We decided to head back because it was almost the time for Georgia’s nap.

In the afternoon Alicia came over. She told us about festival in the fair grounds next to Uzipis. We all walked there.

Turns out they were having the races of small, self-made cars. We were looking at the posters about this event for at least a week without understanding what they were about. There was a crowd cheering and everyone was waving the flags of the show. Below is the picture of one of the cars. We did not find the original source of the flags but Alicia guilted one of the teenage boys who was holding three flags into giving one to Georgia.

We went to Bistro 18 for dinner since all of the areas close to the show were full. And since Cukernia was closed finished up with ice-cream at home.
