August 2nd. We are Blessed!

Temptators!
Kingston Food Festival is starting tomorrow but we got they early preview in having the entire marketplace filled with bakery, pastry, and coffee stalls. And they all give out free samples. One of them in particular, Tea and Cakes, ...they could have done some lip service to the event. Some mediocre pies, uninspiring cookies, but no, they went all the way dispatching the ultimate nectar for the moral failure, the perfect combination of carbs and fat and rosemary and lemon. People could get hurt with this stuff.

World's littlest dj - 2 feet :)
Doves plotting to
eliminate the swans
And so we rethought our plan of the weekend retreat. Instead we will do one half of our tour and see Stonehenge, Avesbury, Salisbury, and Glastonbury and come back home to a more laid back and gluttonous joys.

In the morning I went for a run on the west side of the river past Teddington lock. After 15 minutes of passing the lock I saw an old town center and the familiar sight of Patisserie Valerie and thought that I found the Holy Grail - a shortcut to Richmond. But no, it was Twickenham. A nice little town to come back to with the kids.

Kids took a bus to Richmond with Irina today and explored the many playgrounds in the park Maybe we will go there on Sunday, in between the food breaks. In the morning Georgia had joined Irina and Michalka on a ride to Hampton Palace. Unfortunately they did not allow them to see the vine this time. I guess they needed Dan to be present to eliminate this foolishness. I am so impressed Georgia is as strong as the ladies.
