July 26, Rest Day in Seoul

Today you get no Darlings! Today we are sad because Geo is sick.

In the morning, Geo and I woke up late and went to eat. Geo was very nauseous so she stayed home. She had an upset stomach for several days and we got her to take some medication yesterday so it was probably settling in.

I took Mama and Papa on a long park walk down the other side of the enormous highline park that runs near our hotel. Our neighborhood is a gift that keeps on giving.

There were a lot of people in the park so I enjoyed people-watching. On the way back, we stopped att a fruit store and got bananas. Those magical bananas were probably some of the best I have ever eaten.

We got home and immediately went to work. It was an early day for parents, which is probably not so bad because it has been really hot here.

Geo felt better, so I went on a walk.

At around four, mama picked us up and took us clothing shopping.

Stayed at like a cargo store for an hour. Then we went on this busy street and stopped at a couple stores. One thing that we noticed is that Korea is very one size fits all for women. The clothing store had no sized variations, similar to how the makeup stores had one color foundation advertised as the best color. Also we noticed really funny messages on t-shirts. Like someone deliberately put down gibberish like "Paris France, since 1958," or "When you shoot for the moon, you may end up on the SRAR," and so on. We took a bunch of pictures of these.

At six, we met up with Papa and got food. Georgia was feeling better, so she ate as usual. She was so happy to be off bread, rice, and bananas that she was on for a day.

We are yet to find an authentic American Korean restaurant that serves food flavored like we are used to. Parents say that, like pizza and sushi, Korean in the US probably evolved to a more interesting and flavorful version.

Anywho, after dinner we went to the park yet again to buy bananas; however, they were all sold out. We walked back to our neighborhood and went to walk a bit more. Geo and I got Bens Cookies, so the night ended perfectly.
