Day 8: Hello Paris!!!

Hello!!! Today is 6/25/22. Our current locations are London, England, and Paris, France.

Today we woke up and knew we had to make today great since it was our last day in London. It was also our first full week outside of home. Only nine more left.

We went to a really great restaurant - Sandwich Street Kitchen on Sandwich street. I got a huge stack of pancakes covered in Nutella. Everything looked amazing. Mama wanted everyone’s food.

The food was really great but since we sat outside it was very cold.

We went back to the hotel to get our sweaters.

Georgia said that she found a great antique flea market but it wasn't all that so we went back to show Papa Portobello St.

It was way more crowded than on a weekday. There were old clocks, keys, and more. There were way too many people but it was still really cool. After eating a few French pastries in the park  (to get in the mood before France) and took the subway back.

After that, we walked back to Fresco to have one last yogurt (again).

Then we decided to walk around for one last time. It was kinda sad that we were leaving but at least we were back to all of our favorite spots. Were it was almost time for our train we went to a store to buy cheese, veggies, and bread for the train.

At the train station, we sat down to hear that our seats on the train were no longer reserved. And all the boarding passes were no longer valid. Every man for themselves!!!! It was chaos.

Papa bravely cut through the crowd and we got some of the good seats. While we rode on the train I wrote the blog and ate. We arrived and went straight to our hotel.

I was told to expect the worst but the hotel was really nice. We got this large attic room with a huge bathroom and nice lighting. And air conditioner!

We left to explore. It was already close to 9pm. It was very pretty out. We walked all the way to the Norte Dame and saw a new specimen of pigeons that and twice as big and have a little difference in coloring and markings. Notre Dame still looks nice despite some of the front and all of the back of the building being covered in scaffolding.

We got ice cream and walked around and saw a Pride Parade party. It was really cool. Some of the drag queens were dressed in amazing outfits with huge platform shoes and were towering above the crowd. People were laughing and dancing. When we left we went past a man peeing on the street which I thought was very gross, so that's fun!!

We got home and went to sleep thinking of checking in with the pastries in France.
