Our First Day in Budapest

 Hello! Today is 8/21/22.

Today we woke up and went down to the breakfast in the hotel. There was a huge selection. We ate and took a few buns to the train. We hurried to the train and waited for a little bit. We got very nice seats. After two hours we arrived in Budapest. 

We went to our hotel to drop our stuff of and went to walk around. We got breakfast at a bakery with delicious focaccia, far better than in Italy, and tasty sandwiches. 

We were incredibly excited to go the the baths of Budapest. When we got there we changed and walk to the baths. The first thing I noticed was the interesting smell but I got used to it. It is very interesting that sulfur is used to keep the pools clean. The baths were very nice. The water temperature was different it all of them. We also went to the rooftop baths. There were also very refreshing and nice. When we were leaving we noticed a scale in the room. After weighing ourselves we realized that we all lost weight in vacation so it was a legendary trip. 

 

We kept walking around and stumbled upon a food festival. We walk around and listened to the music for a few seconds. We were heading to our hotel to put out stuff in our room. On the way we found another festival. This time we sat down under an umbrella. It started raining so we stayed and ate pizza. It was really fun! 

 We got to our hotel we the rain stopped. After checking in we went to the other side of Budapest. We were in Pest and went to Buda. It was very pretty. There was yet another food festival so Georgia and I got a cheese set on a stick. We were walking to a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. To get there we walked up a bunch of steps and over the mountain. After getting to the restaurant we discovered that there was a way to get there through a tunnel. We ate our dinner, which was amazingly spiced and flavored. The ginger and orange tea was spicy and sweet with honey. When it started rained we came prepared with umbrellas. We of course walked through the tunnel. We walked home and stopped at a store to get soda. After we got home we drank the soda and went to sleep.
